John Sabo is a Chartered Professional Accountant holding a CA designation, an MFAc (Financial Accountability), an MEd (Educational Administration), a BMath, and among other designations he is a Chartered Director (CDir). He is currently President and CEO of OBAS Governance & Advisory Services, following his time as President and CEO of OECM (Ontario Education Collaborative Marketplace), and earlier, Treasurer and Associate Director of Corporate Services for the York Catholic District School Board. John was a member of the OMERS (Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System) Administration Corporation Board, including terms as Vice-Chair and Chair, the Southlake Regional Health Centre Hospital Board, and the Board of Directors of MCV (Midland Cogeneration Venture) and OECM. His service included terms as Chair of the Audit Committee and others. Involved in Provincial school board business, finance committees and task forces, he was a founding member and first chair of the Council of Senior Business Officials of Ontario.
