The CMCC Archives preserves the history of CMCC and of chiropractic. It holds a wealth of information relevant to the history and development of both CMCC and of chiropractic throughout Canada and North America. The CMCC Archives retains records, original documents, correspondence, digital media, and some physical objects for their research and historical value. This includes CMCC records of permanent value and the private records of individuals and organizations associated with the college.
The archives database is a searchable database containing records of all CMCC and private records held in the CMCC Health Sciences Library. The descriptive records are professionally organized into a hierarchy of broad categories broken into smaller categories until individual items are described. Digital copies are available online for many items. The database is updated on a regular basis. Search Database
Search Tips: To find the information that you need, simply type some keywords into search box provided. If you enter "Lee", for example, in the quick search field, you will see many hits displayed below. Go to “Level of Description” (see a button on the left) to narrow your search results to individual “Items” or “Record Groups/Fonds.” A fonds record is a unique number assigned to each major group of records and is the highest-level description of the record group. CMCC fonds numbers are identified by an F at the beginning of the fonds number: F2, for example, refers to the major record group belonging to The Office of the President. Finding aids for all fonds level records are available online.
Similarly, entering “Yearbook”, will retrieve the scans of CMCC Yearbooks (The Cornerstone). Go to “Level of Description” and select “Series” to access digitized copies of CMCC Yearbooks from 1949 to present.
