Dr. Vogel, a founding faculty member at Ontario Tech University, served as Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, and currently holds an Adjunct & Graduate Faculty appointment. With a PhD from University of Alberta (Community Nutrition) and a Postdoctoral Fellowship from Health Canada, she is a Fellow with Dietitians of Canada and received numerous awards for leadership in dietetics practice and a university-wide Teaching Excellence Award. In research, Dr. Vogel examined faculty adoption of new digital technologies for teaching and learning and has led or co-led national studies on topics such as building capacity for food security through policy change. The recipient of grants from national/international funding organizations, Dr. Vogel shared her work on building dietitians’ capacities in nutritional genomics at close to 30 national/global conferences.
