This is the realm of meta-research, or what has been called ‘research on research.’
Working with colleagues at institutions around the world, Dr. Budgell is using the most advanced computer applications to model the chiropractic research ecosystem with a view to identifying those human qualities and behaviours, as well as institutional attributes, that contribute to improved research. Dr. Budgell and his colleagues also have a special interest in the languages of biomedicine and health, to understand the linguistic strategies that researchers use to communicate with one another, and to influence other stakeholders in the research enterprise.
