Background

My interest in research started at the University of Toronto when I did my MSc in Plant Biochemistry. When that was complete, I went to CMCC to become a chiropractor. I returned to CMCC as a faculty member and have now completed 36 years in that role. But 7 years after beginning that role (1996), I decided to do a PhD in Biomechanics to study the mechanics of spinal manipulation. Several key papers regarding spinal manipulation were generated by that journey. However, when I returned to CMCC I focused on teaching and administration and hence little time was devoted to research. Then in 2024 I have finally returned to research.
