Background

Dr. Dan Wang, specializing in epidemiology and biostatistics, holds a BMed in Preventive Medicine, a MSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and a PhD in Public Health. From 2019 to 2022, she advanced her expertise through postdoctoral training at the Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research, Ontario Tech University.

Dr. Wang’s research focuses on evidence-based prevention and rehabilitation care, particular non-pharmaceutical interventions for promoting health outcomes such as functional wellness, frailty, and disability. She has led notable projects, including CCRF-funded research projects on healthcare utilization for musculoskeletal disorders, a CIHR-funded project on unmet rehabilitation needs during COVID-19, and collaborations with Cochrane Rehabilitation to enhance outcome reporting in rehabilitation trials.

At CMCC, Dr. Wang supports faculty in designing and conducting research, teaches biostatistics to residents, serves on the REB, and mentors students pursuing careers in public health and chiropractic professions at various academic levels.
