CMCC Recycling

Help CMCC go greener Do you know that Canada’s landfills are reaching capacity? That they produce more than 25 % of Canada’s methane emissions?

CMCC is working hard to reduce its environmental impact both through increased energy efficiency and a greater diversion rate. Our recyclable capture rate (the percentage of recyclables that have been captured out of the trash system) increased by 31 % between 2016 and 2017 (growing from 56 % in 2016 to 87 % in 2017).

Our goal is 100 % diversion and to encourage staff and students to set an example of environmental stewardship to ensure a better future for all of us.

Please do your part and be aware of the choices you make and to recycle whenever possible.

Supply Centre & Bookstore

The CMCC Supply Centre and Bookstore welcomes students, staff, health care practitioners and the public with an extensive selection of chiropractic and health related products. It carries all textbooks and manuals for classes as well as reference and general interest books. It carries all chiropractic office supplies such as adjustment tables, supports, pillows and gowns, x-ray supplies and anatomical models. It carries sports medicine and rehabilitation supplies, and clothing. The Supply Centre & Bookstore, a division of CMCC, and all revenue generated is returned to support CMCC and chiropractic education.

Clinics

In Years I, II and III, students receive almost 3,000 hours of education and hands-on clinical training. In Year IV they apply this knowledge in a real clinic setting as chiropractic interns in CMCC's teaching clinics, under the supervision of clinical faculty. In addition to our on-campus walk-in clinic, CMCC has a network of external chiropractic clinics throughout the Greater Toronto Area. These community-based clinics give our students and interns a broader clinical experience with more focused patient populations, including Toronto's urban aboriginal community, adults and children who are behaviourally, mentally and physically challenged, and patients with HIV/AIDS. Many clinics are multi-disciplinary environments where our chiropractors work together with a variety of health professionals.
